BROOKLYN EATS HERE DEBUTS ON THE SUNSET PARK WATERFRONT JUNE 13–14

Brooklyn, NY — Brooklyn Eats Here will launch its first edition on June 13–14 on the Sunset Park waterfront, bringing together 50 Brooklyn-based food vendors, live performances, and thousands of attendees for a two-day gathering focused on the borough’s food economy.

The event is projected to welcome between 12,000 and 16,000 people across the weekend.

Brooklyn Eats Here is designed as an annual institution. The objective is simple: generate revenue and visibility for Brooklyn food operators.

The two-day waterfront event will feature 50 curated vendors representing the range of cuisines that define the borough — Caribbean, Latin American, Middle Eastern, Asian, American, and immigrant food traditions that power Brooklyn’s restaurant and street food scene.

Programming will include seven live performers and audience-driven activations designed to keep the focus on the vendor floor and the operators serving food.

Brooklyn Eats Here builds on the audience developed through projects such as the Brooklyn Night Market at Industry City, which regularly brought thousands of attendees to Sunset Park and demonstrated the demand for a large-scale Brooklyn food gathering.

The new event expands that concept into a larger, annual waterfront platform built specifically for Brooklyn-based vendors.

“Brooklyn has one of the most powerful food scenes in the world, but many of the people building it still operate without a platform that matches their work,” said Marco Shalma, Founder of We Eat Here. “Brooklyn Eats Here puts that work on the waterfront. Fifty vendors. Two days. The borough on one floor.”

Brooklyn Eats Here will take place on the Sunset Park waterfront on June 13–14, with food service beginning at noon each day.

The event is produced by We Eat Here, a New York–based food and culture media and events organization founded by Marco Shalma. Through live events, editorial platforms, and strategic partnerships, We Eat Here builds cultural platforms that elevate local entrepreneurs and generate measurable neighborhood impact.

Vendor applications and sponsorship opportunities are currently open.
